Terms of Service

The service

CalShot provides AI-powered calorie and macronutrient estimates from food photographs. The service is provided “as is” for informational purposes only.

Not medical or dietary advice

CalShot is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Calorie and macro estimates are approximate and should not be used as the sole basis for dietary decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian for personalized nutrition guidance.

Accuracy

AI-based food analysis is inherently imprecise. Estimates may vary significantly from actual values depending on food preparation, portion sizes, ingredients, and image quality. We display a confidence level with each scan to help you gauge reliability.

Fair use

Free accounts are limited to 3 scans per day. Attempting to circumvent rate limits (via automated requests, proxy rotation, or other means) may result in temporary or permanent blocking.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use CalShot to: submit non-food images for analysis, attempt to overload or disrupt the service, reverse engineer the AI analysis system, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CalShot and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. This includes but is not limited to damages from reliance on calorie or nutrition estimates provided by the service.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
